What I though most interesting was what Mr Bush said on the video clip:

“I firmly believe that the goal I laid out — that Americans will use 20 percent less gasoline over the next 10 years — is going to be achieved, and here’s living proof of how we’re going to get there,”

Interesting indeed.

Parallels

Parallels is very very impressive. I’ve been using it since before christmas to boot custom Ubuntu CD’s for the Enable project here in work (on my MacBook Pro). I recently wanted to try out Radio Mobile for Radio System performance analysis. So the guys in work supplied me with a copy Windows XP and off I went.

It was a pretty simple install, then, once it was up and running, I installed the Parallels Tools as instructed, and then Radio Mobile itself. The virtual machine takes about 25 seconds to boot and less than 20 to shut down and, in operation, its very responsive. To quote Ronseal, It “Does exactly what it says on the tin”.

RTÉ Free to Air?

I have to agree with EirePreneur and Brian Greene. I used to just think that it was “Oirish” that I could receive BBC Free to Air but not RTÉ and that RTÉ would get their act together eventually, but it doesn’t seem to be happening. Rather than just wringing our hands about it, what, if anything, can we do about it? Who could we lobby?
